Alec Moffat
Alec Moffat joined R.J. Waldron & Co. in 2006, after working 5 years as an Aircraft Accident Investigator for the Transportation Safety Board of Canada. Since 1993, he has worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer as an Avionics Specialist. He has been directly involved with over 250 aircraft accidents.
Qualifications
- Investigator; Appointed by the Chairman of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada by the authority of the CTAISB act (2002-2006).
- Full member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, valid for category E – all aircraft, and endorsed for Boeing 737-200, -300 and -500, Airbus A319, A320 and A321.
Education
1993 - British Columbia Institute of Technology, Graduated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Avionics Diploma.
2002 - Aircraft accident investigation course, University of Southern California
2003 - Integrated Safety Investigation Methodology and Human Factors in Investigations, Transportation Safety Board of Canada
2004 - Rotorcraft accident investigation, United States Transportation Safety Institute.
2006 – Currently pursuing fixed wing private pilots license.
