Gerry Binnema
Gerry Binnema joined R.J. Waldron & Co. in 2008 after working for over 20 years in aviation related industries. Gerry has extensive experience as an aircraft maintenance engineer, pilot, flight instructor, accident investigator and aviation safety officer.
Qualifications
- Investigator; Appointed by the Chairman of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada by the authority of the CTAISB act (1994-1997)
- Masters degree in Aeronautical Science with a specialty in System Safety and Human Factors
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
- Airline Transport Pilot Licence
- Class 1 Instructor Pilot Rating
- Glider Pilot Licence with Instructor Rating
Education
2005 - Lund University, two Human Factors in Aviation Learning Laboratory programs.
2000 – 2005 - Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Masters degree in Aeronautical Science specializing in System Safety and Human Factors
1981-1982, 1991-1994 - Trinity Western University, Bachelor degree. Studies focused on aviation during the first two years. Completed the degree through part-time studies while teaching full-time at Trinity, studies focused on Christianity and cultural issues.
1984 - Centennial College. , 12-month aircraft maintenance course.
